Nanette Foster

President & CEO

Nanette Foster grew up in Knoxville, Tennessee, surrounded by the construction industry and utilities—her father retired from KUB after years of service. Growing up around the people who were literally powering communities sparked a lifelong interest in the electrical infrastructure industry that would eventually define her career.

After attending the University of Tennessee (once a Vol, always a Vol), Nanette began her professional journey in chemical sales. She never imagined she would discover her true passion in recruiting—bringing together companies and candidates in meaningful partnerships that drive the industry forward.

For the past 21 years, Nanette has specialized in executive search within the electrical infrastructure and power equipment sectors. She launched her recruiting career at an international firm, where she earned Rookie of the Year, was recognized as a Pace Setter, and received Account Executive of the Year honors. She consistently ranked in the top 50 recruiters worldwide and placed in the top 3% for power generation and distribution.

In 2004, Nanette founded Foster Conner International, building a specialized team that focuses exclusively on director-level and above placements for companies that service and build equipment for the electrical grid—from substations and data centers to switchgear, transformers, and e-houses.

Nanette and her husband Tom are empty nesters living in Carmel, Indiana. They actively support various charitable causes and work closely with Purdue University’s School of Engineering, funding a scholarship for first-generation STEM students—reflecting their dedication to expanding access to engineering education.
