Vice President of Operations-Engineered Products Manufacturing 175K-235K
Location: Los Angelas, California
Industry: Engineered Manufacturing
The Opportunity
A private equity-backed manufacturer of engineered products is entering a significant growth phase and is seeking a Vice President of Operations to lead that transformation.
This is not a maintenance role.
This is a build, scale, and optimize role for someone who knows how to take a solid manufacturing platform and make it perform at a higher level across safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
The company designs and manufactures complex, specification-driven products used in demanding industrial applications. Execution matters. Leadership matters. Accountability matters.
What You Will Own
You will be responsible for the full operational engine of the business, including manufacturing, supply chain, and quality.
- Build and execute an operational strategy aligned with growth goals
- Drive measurable improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost
- Lead manufacturing, supply chain, and quality with full accountability
- Implement and strengthen Lean and continuous improvement initiatives
- Establish KPI structure, accountability rhythms, and operational discipline
- Partner with executive leadership to translate strategy into execution
- Build and develop a leadership team capable of scaling with the business
This is a hands-on leadership role with visibility on the floor, not just in meetings.
What It Takes
This role requires more than general manufacturing experience.
You must understand engineered-to-order environments and the complexity that comes with them.
- 20+ years in manufacturing or engineering-driven environments
- Proven leadership experience in engineered products manufacturing or similar complex environments
- Background in engineered-to-order (custom, specification-driven) production
- Experience scaling operations in a high-growth or private equity-backed business
- Strong foundation in Lean manufacturing and process improvement
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams across operations, supply chain, and quality
- Strong business and financial acumen with experience driving KPIs
If your background is primarily high-volume, repetitive manufacturing, this will feel like a different operating model.
Why This Role
The business has strong fundamentals, real demand, and a clear growth trajectory.
What it needs now is operational leadership that can bring structure, urgency, and consistency to execution.
This is a visible leadership role with direct impact on performance and long-term value creation.
Compensation
- Competitive base salary
- Performance-based bonus
- Long-term incentives aligned with company growth
