Plant Manager (Transformer|Operations Leadership) 190-200K

The Company

A long-standing U.S. manufacturer of  transformers committed to supporting utilities, OEMs, and critical infrastructure. With nearly 100 years of operating history and multiple facilities across North America.

The Role – Plant Manager

We are seeking a proven manufacturing leader to run a 200-employee transformer facility producing transformers, with direct oversight for operations, safety, quality, delivery, cost, inventory, production planning, maintenance, and supply chain.

This person will be at the center of a multi-year operational improvement effort, shaping future investments, equipment upgrades, facility layout improvements, and cultural revitalization.

The position is intentionally hands-on, factory-visible, and accountability-driven — ideal for a Plant Manager, VSM, or Operations Manager pursuing their next step into full site leadership.

Key Priorities

Based on current operations, the new Plant Manager will focus on:

• Establishing KPIs, daily management, and accountability structures
• Driving urgency and execution across cross-functional operations
• Improving flow, reducing past-due orders, and eliminating floor bottlenecks
• Strengthening communication and performance culture
• Leading capital investment and modernization initiatives

Ideal Background

• Plant Manager or Operations Manager in transformers, electrical equipment, heavy manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial assembly
• Experience in transformers strongly preferred
• Union experience

Why This Role

Transform the future: Real leadership and execution discipline. You will shape the plant for the next decade.

Growth in transformers: Market demand for transformers is increasing. We are growing to handle those demands.

Supportive culture, not command-and-control: Leadership wants accountability and rigor not a “tyrant” style leadership.

Seat at the table: Full visibility with executive leadership + influence over future CapEx, layout, and process decisions
