Electrical Equipment Manufacturing Plant Manager

Plant Manager: Electrical Equipment Manufacturing

Build Something From the Ground Up. Own It.

Location: South Central U.S.
Relocation: Comprehensive relocation assistance provided
Compensation: Highly competitive base salary plus performance incentives

The Opportunity

This Plant Manager electrical equipment manufacturing opportunity is with a fast-growing, privately funded company in the South Central U.S. The company is seeking a hands-on operations leader to build the plant’s leadership team, strengthen operational systems, and scale production to meet significant customer demand.

This is a company that has outgrown its systems faster than it could build them, creating a genuine opportunity for the right leader. You will not be maintaining someone else’s machine. You will build your own team, implement your own processes, and create an operational legacy at a facility with the backing, demand, and runway to grow significantly over the next several years.

If you have ever looked at a plant and thought, “I could build a real team here, and I could build it the right way,” this is that opportunity.

What’s in It for You

  • A true blank slate. Walk into a plant with strong bones and real investment behind it, then build the leadership structure needed to support its growth. You will have meaningful input into who joins your team.
  • Real growth and real responsibility. This facility is on a clear path to scale, with expansion already planned. Joining now means growing your own role and impact alongside the company.
  • Backing to match the ambition. This is not a bootstrapped operation. The company has the capital and customer demand to support serious expansion, and leadership is looking for someone to help drive it.
  • A seat at the table. You will partner directly with senior leadership, engineering, and sales without reporting through unnecessary layers of bureaucracy. Your voice on operational strategy will matter from day one.
  • A relocation package built for real life. Moving your family is a significant decision, especially in the current housing market. The company is prepared to offer a relocation package that recognizes the financial and personal impact of the move.
  • A community, not just a job. The location offers an appealing cost of living, a strong sense of community, and a comfortable pace of life while remaining connected to a nearby major metropolitan area.

What the Plant Manager Will Own

  • Full P&L and daily operational responsibility for a growing electrical equipment manufacturing facility
  • Building and developing a leadership team of supervisors, manufacturing professionals, and technical staff
  • Establishing production scheduling, KPIs, operating rhythms, and accountability systems
  • Improving on-time delivery, workplace safety, product quality, and manufacturing efficiency
  • Scaling output while protecting quality and customer commitments
  • Partnering with engineering and sales leadership to align production with increasing customer demand
  • Creating the operational backbone that allows the company to grow without compromising performance
  • Developing a hands-on, accountable culture throughout the plant
  • Identifying and developing future leaders within the organization

What You Bring

  • Eight or more years of experience as a Plant Manager or senior manufacturing operations leader
  • Experience in electrical equipment manufacturing, including switchgear, switchboards, transformers, motors and drives, electrical panels, power distribution equipment, or similar heavy electrical products, is strongly preferred
  • Candidates from adjacent industrial, discrete, technical, or engineered-to-order manufacturing environments are also encouraged to apply
  • Demonstrated P&L, production, safety, quality, delivery, and workforce leadership responsibility
  • A record of building or rebuilding teams, processes, and workplace culture
  • Experience establishing KPIs, operating cadence, accountability, and scalable manufacturing systems
  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations, business, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on leadership experience in a technical manufacturing environment
  • A hands-on, shop-floor leadership style
  • The ability to operate effectively in an entrepreneurial environment where systems and structure are still being developed
  • Willingness to relocate to the South Central U.S.

Why Now

The company is beyond the startup phase but has not yet built the leadership bench or operating structure needed to match its growth. That gap is the opportunity.

The person who joins now will have the authority and support to shape how the plant operates for years to come. This is a chance to build a team, establish the culture, create scalable systems, and grow your career alongside the business.

This Plant Manager electrical equipment manufacturing opportunity includes highly competitive compensation, performance incentives, and comprehensive relocation assistance.

Interested candidates should apply directly or reach out confidentially to discuss the opportunity. All conversations will be held in strict confidence.
