Responsibilities:

  • Direct and manage plant operations for production, maintenance
  • Create best practices to ensure lean six sigma and efficiencies
  • Must be able to critically think and be a problem solver

  • Strategic plan to increase profits
  • Customer relations and development

Requirements for the position:

  • B.S. Degree in a technical field or relevant experience
  • Five or more years of manufacturing experience
  • Previous management experience in a manufacturing environment

Operations Manager [JOB POSTING] 100K+

Privately held successful transformer manufacturer is seeking an operations manager for their facility. This is a critical position for our client and the ideal candidate will bring hands on expertise of oil filled power transformers and knowledge of cradle to grave manufacturing.

Typical duties/responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

– Manage and assist in coordinating effort between support departments within the organization.

– Participate in the implementation of advanced manufacturing technology to improve cost of sales and promote on-time delivery.

– Implement best practices.Establish more uniform methods of manufacturing similar product

– Establish annual operating budget

– Achievement of monthly, quarterly, and yearly goals as set forth in the budgetPlan, prepare, control, monitor, and forecast departmental direct and/or indirect budgets.

– Continuously improve customer satisfaction through programs to reduce delinquencies, provide for on-time delivery, and meet customer quality and cost expectations.

– Establish, prepare, implement, revise, and maintain policies and procedures related to operations.

– Administer and manage the division’s safety and quality to provide an adequate and safe working environment.

– Expert in lamination, final assembly, tanking and winding is highly desired.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Engineering degree or equivalent experience
  • 10 or more years of experience in manufacturing related to components / electrical equipment/test of power transformer. Experience related to Power Transformer essential.
  • Skills in management of personnel.
  • Rigorous, analysis and synthesis spirit, team spirit, adaptability, leadership, autonomy, resourcefulness and customer service orientation, communication /respect of deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft environment Word, Excel, Power Point, MS Project as well as plans reading.
