Operations Manager [JOB POSTING] 100K+

Privately held successful transformer manufacturer is seeking an operations manager for their facility. This is a critical position for our client and the ideal candidate will bring hands on expertise of oil filled power transformers and knowledge of cradle to grave manufacturing.

Typical duties/responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

– Manage and assist in coordinating effort between support departments within the organization.

– Participate in the implementation of advanced manufacturing technology to improve cost of sales and promote on-time delivery.

– Implement best practices.Establish more uniform methods of manufacturing similar product

– Establish annual operating budget

– Achievement of monthly, quarterly, and yearly goals as set forth in the budgetPlan, prepare, control, monitor, and forecast departmental direct and/or indirect budgets.

– Continuously improve customer satisfaction through programs to reduce delinquencies, provide for on-time delivery, and meet customer quality and cost expectations.

– Establish, prepare, implement, revise, and maintain policies and procedures related to operations.

– Administer and manage the division’s safety and quality to provide an adequate and safe working environment.

– Expert in lamination, final assembly, tanking and winding is highly desired.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Engineering degree or equivalent experience
  • 10 or more years of experience in manufacturing related to components / electrical equipment/test of power transformer. Experience related to Power Transformer essential.
  • Skills in management of personnel.
  • Rigorous, analysis and synthesis spirit, team spirit, adaptability, leadership, autonomy, resourcefulness and customer service orientation, communication /respect of deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft environment Word, Excel, Power Point, MS Project as well as plans reading.

Transformer Magnetic Electrical Design Engineer

Summary:

The Transformer Magnetic Electrical Design Engineer are responsible for the design and development of dry type transformers from 10kVA to 3MVA at both low voltage class (600V) and medium class (up to 15kV).

Responsibility:

  • Lead the design and development of high power magnetic components. Dry-type transformers, single and three phase.
  •  Support customer service with proposals, requirements definition, and with cost estimates
  • Knowledge of NFPA, UL, CSA and CE standards

What you need to have:

  • BSEE
  • Minimum of 5 years of dry type transformer design
  • Knowledge of IEEE standards
